Co-Leader, Communications + Accessibility Working Group
Bertha is an artist and conservation advocate with a soft spot for sunsets, meteor showers, and cats. Originally from El Salvador, she grew up surrounded by tropical trees, plants, volcanoes, mosquitoes, and the warm Pacific Ocean when visiting her grandparents’ house. She continued to find home as life took her to the Osage lands in Northwest Arkansas and then to Nuwivi lands in Southern Nevada. Bertha has 16 niblings (and counting) and lives in Las Vegas with her cat Dwayne. She enjoys hiking, star gazing, elaborate camping meals, drawing, and painting (especially murals).
