Abi Mlo

Co-Leader, Asian + Pacific Islander Affinity Group

Born and raised in Greensboro, NC, H’Abigail (or Abi) currently works for a land protection non-profit on Lenape Land (Philadelphia, PA) as an FAO Schwarz Fellow. Her role entails increasing access to the outdoors and using community arts to advance city-wide investment in urban heat. Outside of her full-time work, Abi continues to centralize equity and her Indigenous identity. In 2018, she co-founded Voices of the Highlands, a storytelling platform highlighting Montagnard/Indigenous identity and experiences. In 2020, she wrote a children’s book in four weeks called “Yă’s Backyard Jungle”. Outside of these endeavors, you’ll find Abi reading memoirs, writing short stories and personal essays, and obsessing over the latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
